• A client was sued for $150 million for deceptive trade practices by a multi-billion corporation.  Mr. Layfield led a multi-law firm litigation team that ultimately achieved a settlement in favor of the client valued at approximately $40 million.


• Mr. Layfield represented a client against the FDA/US government in a potential prescription drug recall action wherein the recall would have cost the client approximately $30 million.  He obtained a settlement with FDA wherein no action was taken against the client.


• Mr. Layfield represented a client in a breach of contract claim resulting in the client's purchase price being reduced by approximately $8 million.


• Mr. Layfield represented an investor in a start up company in a fraud case and obtained all of the client's money back and got them released as a guarantor of a multi-million loan.


• Mr. Layfield obtained a settlement for a client who was injured by a personal trainer at a nationally recognized health club.
